Find the Peace in the Chaos

Holidays can bring all types of stress:

Money pressure — gifts, travel, entertaining, and trying

not to overspend

Too much to do — shopping, decorating, cooking,

wrapping, events, and normal year-end obligations

Commitment Overload — numerous parties, family

gatherings, school/church/work events

Travel and logistics — traffic, airports, coordinating

multiple households

Difficult family dynamics — old tensions, expectations,

uncomfortable conversations, and challenging

relationships

Falling back into old family roles — feeling expected to

be the peacemaker, caretaker, responsible one, or the

person you used to be

Changing traditions — divorce, blended families, grown

children, aging parents, moves, or traditions that no

longer look the same

Loneliness and grief — missing someone, facing the first

holiday without them, or feeling their absence more

strongly during familiar traditions

Holiday overwhelm and overstimulation — crowds,

noise, traffic, packed schedules, constant activity, and

simply needing some breathing room

Sunday, November 1, 2026  SuZ will be offering a workshop and mini concert immediately following the service and potluck.

Her workshop, “The Fork.” is a reminder of all the good that is still on it’s way. 

 AngelTonk, Suz’s music company, is a combination of angelic and honky tonk music. With many years of live performances under her belt, she still loves to rock out as well as sing a heartfelt love song. She considers herself spiritually to be a Baptist Buddhist. SuZ weaves her life stories and music together, bringing folks to tears of heartfelt joy & laughter. 

SuZ Ogden, came through the doors of the Huntington Beach Church of Religious Science in 1985 . She is a singer/songwriter who has played guitar at Knott’s Berry Farm, Disneyland, inbars, TV, radio and churches worldwide.
